For some reason a lot of toys nowadays are “blind boxed.” Meaning they are packaged so that the contents are hidden, and randomized. This means that there are certain toys that are more desired than others. Whenever my kids buy several of these, inevitably I find that somehow Lois has traded away all the ones that she doesn’t want to Melody, in exchange for obviously the cutest and best ones. When I ask my wife why she would allow such an unbalanced trade to take place, somehow Lois has also convinced her that, “Melody doesn’t like the cute ones,” or “Melody likes the butt ugly toys.”

I have no idea where she learned this behavior from. All the trades that I offered my younger brother were completely fair.
